Amey’s Director of Defence joins DIO and RAF to lay a wreath to mark Remembrance Day

Tim Redfern, Amey’s Director of Defence, joined Peter Lemon, Head of Establishment at the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) Sutton Coldfield, Flt Lt James Perks, Lt Col Peter Wallace, Regional Infrastructure Command, and representatives from our supply chain partners, Tivoli and MSS, to lay a wreath in remembrance of those who lost their lives serving their country.

Before the ceremony, staff at Sutton Coldfield gathered at the site’s commemorative plaque which is in memory of the sacrifice made by those who lost their lives during WW2 air raids. Peter then reminded those present that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Landings on 6th June 1944.

Once the wreaths had been laid, everyone present observed the lowering of the flag whilst the Last Post rang out before entering into the two minute’s silence.
