Amey’s SSAFA fundraising total continues to rise

We are extremely proud of the on-going commitment and enthusiasm shown by our staff and supply chain partners who continue to take part in fundraising events in aid of our corporate charity partner, SSAFA. Since teaming up with the Armed Forces charity in 2015, we’ve raised more than £225,000 and we are on target to reach our goal of £250,000 before the end of our contracts.

Earlier this month, we were delighted to handover a cheque to SSAFA for £3,714 provided through our excellent partnership with Motivair, who provide compressed air services in our Regional Prime contracts.

Tim Redfern, Amey’s Director of Defence said “This is a great example of how Amey and its supply chain partners work collaboratively together and share common goals. We rely hugely on our contractors to deliver key services across our contracts and it’s thanks to the strong and open relationship we have with them that allows arrangements like this to be made.”

Annastasia Williams, Corporate Partnerships Officer at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity said of the donation: “We are thrilled that Motivair has chosen to donate a percentage of their profits to SSAFA. As a supply-chain partner of Amey Defence Services, Motivair’s donation will count towards our successful corporate partnership with Amey and will help to fund our vital Mentoring service, which supports wounded, injured and sick Forces leavers as they settle back into civilian life.”
